Raw Honey Has Not Been Heat Treated
Raw honey is a natural sweetener that is produced by honeybees from the nectar of flowers. It is called “raw” because it has not been processed, heated or filtered like regular honey found in supermarkets. Raw honey is minimally processed, meaning it retains all the natural enzymes, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals that are beneficial for health.
Raw honey typically has a thicker consistency, more opaque appearance, and contains tiny particles such as pollen, beeswax and propolis. The colour, texture, and taste of raw honey may vary depending on the flowers from which the bees collect nectar.
Raw honey has a variety of health benefits, including its antimicrobial properties, ability to soothe sore throats and coughs, and provide relief from seasonal allergies. It can be consumed as a natural sweetener, added to tea or coffee, or used as a substitute for processed sugar in baking and cooking.
