Gancedo Bierzo Mencia 2020
If you’re a Spanish wine lover of old then you’ll know what this is about. If not, think aromatic reds (Pinot Noir, Gamay), but with more body and depth of flavour. This one is full of red berries and blue fruits with liquorice and allspice, topped off with a dusting of coffee and chocolate. It sits at 14% alcohol but hides it well under fine, silky tannins.

Mr Tipple Sauvignon Blanc 2021
Mr Tipple has headed off the Adelaide Hills for this Sauvignon Blanc, bringing back a simply sensational wine that ticks all the boxes. Crisp, tropical fruit? Tick. All that lovely grassy Savviness? Tick. A crisp finish? Also tick. It all adds up to a truly delicious and authentic Sauv Blanc.
Dopff & Irion Pinot Blanc Cuvée René Dopff 2019
Alsace Pinot Blanc is a remarkable thing, combining the perfection of waxy fine texture with ripe fruit and soft acidity. Here, we see all of that delivered with a sense of freshness and delicacy. The warm 2019 vintage ensured ripe grapes, and the end result is a wine of particular energy. Textural, finessed white wine from an oft-overlooked region. Discreet elderflower and pea on the nose, the palate is light, juicy, fresh pear with a dry and bright finish.
